21-25 October 2024 | Český Těšín (The Silesian Region), Czech Republic
This Study visit will provide a possibility for participants to meet, explore and discuss practices and experiences in order to get inspired and network. The focus will be on the priority of inclusion and diversity.
The European Solidarity Corps programme aims to inspire the involved organisations to share their experiences and tools across borders. What can support the organisations on their journey is meeting their peers and experiencing good practices.
The participants will have the opportunity to visit a local organisation and its locations which are active in hosting volunteers. The field of their work focuses on working with people with fewer opportunities and supporting diversity in the region. The participants will be provided with a space to discuss and compare different practices implementing the programme and youthwork in general.
The event can serve as a space for creating new ideas and planning future partnerships.
The programme will take place between 22. and 24. October. The expected arrival of participants is 21. October, we will depart together from Prague. We will leave together on 25. October and travel back to Prague.
The organisation involved is the Silesian Diaconate (“Slezská Diakonie” in Czech). The Sileasian Diaconate is a non-governmental non-profit organization that provides its services in the social field. The target group is people with disabilities, the elderly, the homeless and all those who have found themselves in a variety of difficult life situations. The Silesian Diaconate has been operating in the Moravian-Silesian Region since 1990 and operates more than 70 centers.
Participants
The study visits will bring together up to 25 youth workers, project managers and youth policy makers with an interest in working with people with fewer opportunities, supporting diversity and hosting volunteers.
